The two time police officers grew impatient when Thanos said nothing.
"If you don't speak, we'll take you into custody!"
"One last chance. Who are you, and how did you get here?"
Everyone at the Time Variance Authority was a Clone, so they were certain Thanos didn't belong here.
Thanos swept the area with his psychic senses. Finding no familiar faces, he sized up the two small fry in front of him.
Like everyone at the Time Variance Authority, they were humanoid. One had black skin and the other white; both wore full-body riot gear and carried Time Batons.
"My name is Thanos. Bring Kang out here."
With that, he waited for them to summon Kang, arrogance written all over his face.
After so many years of traveling between worlds, he had grown used to standing above others and giving orders.
Naturally, he treated these small fry like subordinates too.
Unfortunately, the people of the Time Variance Authority saw themselves as guardians of peace in the universe. They were used to looking down on others and had no intention of indulging Thanos.
The two exchanged glances, then broke into malicious grins.
"Purple Big Guy, I don't care who you are. You've made us angry."
"That's right. We'll teach you what respect means."
They switched on their Time Batons and advanced.
Time Batons were the most basic time weapons. Touching one to a living being slowed that being's time by a factor of a hundred.
There were stronger time weapons, of course, but as the lowest-ranking time police officers, they had no authority to carry them.
Seeing that even these two insects dared offend him, Thanos's face turned cold. Annihilation Power erupted from his body.
