When the Monitor appeared, Thanos immediately realized that God of the DC Universe must have noticed him.

The DC Universe had similarities to the Marvel Universe, but they were not the same.

Here, God was invincible. No one could stand against him.

In other words, the master of the DC Universe was a world master in the fullest sense.

Yet the DC Universe was also full of villains and others who sought freedom.

The Monitor existed to keep watch over these unstable elements.

Seeing that Thanos had spotted him, Naw-Rho continued to stare coldly at Thanos without the slightest sign of retreat.

Thanos clenched his fist. On second thought, though, the two of them had no quarrel. Killing Naw-Rho merely for doing his duty seemed a bit much.

The next instant, Annihilation Power erupted from his body. He punched through the Cosmic Barrier, crossed countless stretches of space and time, and struck the Monitor in the head.

Splat.

The Monitor's head burst, spraying blood and brains across the dark space.

Thanos said coldly, "Don't let me see you again."

With that warning, he vanished into the Chaos Universe.

Elsewhere, the Monitor's head re-formed.

His expression was ugly as he glared viciously in the direction Thanos had gone.

But he no longer dared keep watching Thanos.

That strike had only been a warning. If he continued his surveillance, he might be destroyed completely.

The next instant, his face darkened.

The world that had once been sunny and idyllic now looked like Hell.

The seas had dried up. Light had vanished. Flames and corpses covered the ground, and monsters roamed everywhere.
