It was clear that Nemesis had appeared only as an Avatar.

Like Oblivion and the others, she was a dark, insubstantial figure. Her face was impossible to make out.

Perhaps beings as powerful as they were simply disliked showing their faces.

After a moment's thought, Thanos asked, "How are you?"

Nemesis flickered into place beside him.

"How do you think? As long as the Marvel Universe exists, I can't die."

She had been born in the age of the First Firmament. When the firmaments changed, the One Above All pardoned the Four Creator Gods and allowed them to continue existing. Every other being at the Omniversal Level was destroyed.

Hundreds of Omniversal Level beings died. Only a handful clung to life.

The Three Great Ancient Divine Beasts, Phoenix, Fairy, and Chaos, for example, had all survived from the age of the First Firmament.

To stay alive, Nemesis had divided herself into six Infinity Stones and become part of the Marvel Universe.

As long as the Marvel Universe existed, she could not die.

Even the One Above All had not wanted to waste time on her and had spared her.

Thanos had a vague idea of some of this, but he did not know much.

So her words piqued his curiosity.

"Who supports this judgment of the Dark Celestials, and who opposes it?"

After going through the motions of pretending to be democratic, the Living Tribunal continued, "Good. No objections. The judgment is passed. You may begin.

"For each Universal Level Dark Celestial you kill, you will receive one thousand points of Universal Origin. For each Multiversal Level Dark Celestial, you will receive one hundred thousand points."
