The Disappearance of Mimosa and Vanessa!
Rumble, rumble~
The ground kept shaking.
Klaus and Yuno had fallen into a chamber.
However, neither of them looked very good.
As they pushed forward, an utterly strange mist had begun flickering around them. The mist seemed to carry all sorts of negative effects, such as weakness and paralysis, instantly cutting off their vision completely.
Following Mimosa's scream, Klaus and Yuno lost all trace of Mimosa Vermillion.
They had failed before they had even begun.
Klaus immediately became restless and irritable.
Yet no matter how the two searched, they still could not find Mimosa.
At that moment, Klaus could already sense danger slowly closing in.
But he truly was unwilling to accept it.
If they delayed any longer, they would not only fail to find Mimosa, but would also miss out on the benefits within the Elven Ruins, along with other things.
And the arrival of the Black Bulls would undoubtedly pose no small threat to their mission.
So Klaus could only take a gamble.
He turned to look at Yuno, his expression frighteningly calm, and said:
"Set aside the search for Mimosa for now."
"Her abilities are mainly supportive, and she has healing magic as well. Even if she runs into trouble, her life should not be in danger for the time being."
"But when it comes to exploring the Elven Ruins, the Golden Dawn must make a name for itself."
"This is both an explanation for Lord William Vangeance and a necessary price to pay."
"Yuno, do you understand what I mean?"
Yuno looked toward the enormous tunnel behind them.
Mimosa's figure and voice had completely vanished.
Though he felt somewhat worried, he still forcibly steadied his emotions after hearing Klaus's words.
Then he nodded and said:
"Senior Klaus, I understand what you mean. We'll complete the exploration of the Elven Ruins first, then search for Senior Mimosa."
A rare smile immediately appeared on Klaus's face.
"Very good, Yuno."
"You truly live up to your heaven-defying talent. Your understanding of this matter is completely in sync with mine."
"I have a bad feeling. This Dungeon Ruins does not seem so simple. There may very well be hidden enemies."
Hearing Klaus's words, Yuno immediately became alert.
Just then, a brilliant light suddenly flooded the air.
Klaus's expression hardened, and he and Yuno simultaneously gathered terrifying magic.
In an instant, the magical fluctuations in the air grew stronger and stronger.
Then, a massive door opened.
Several figures flew out from within.
Klaus's Steel Magic and Yuno's wind magic slashed toward them in an instant.
With someone suddenly charging inward from here, it was difficult for Yuno and Klaus not to feel hostile.
The two slashes roared forward.
But what followed was a furious roar.
"Yuno! What are you doing? You're attacking even me?"
"It's Asta! Don't tell me you don't recognize me, you bastard?!"
Asta's roar came from the air.
He immediately drew a giant sword as large as a door from his black-and-red Five-leaf Clover Grimoire.
With a single swing, that giant sword blocked both of their attacks.
Klaus's expression turned extremely grave.
Meanwhile, Yuno showed a hint of joy.
"Asta... Asta is here."
When his gaze fell upon the group, he was still somewhat surprised. Besides Asta, Carl had come as well.
Seeing Carl's calm, unruffled expression, Yuno's eye twitched.
In his understanding, Carl had always been stronger than Asta.
However, he had not expected even Asta to improve so rapidly.
Previously, when Asta used the Demon-Dweller Sword, its power had not been this great, nor had his speed been this fierce.
He had not expected Asta to reach such a level after such a short time. A strong sense of crisis immediately rose in Yuno's heart.
An unhappy expression appeared on Klaus's face.
When his gaze landed on Carl and he saw the cloaks of the Black Bulls and the Rose Knights, his brows furrowed even deeper.
In his eyes, Carl was simply a heretic.
No one had ever joined two knight squads at the same time. Yet Carl had blatantly broken the rules.
To an elegant noble, anyone who broke the rules was a heretic.
So Klaus naturally did not show Carl a pleasant expression.
Carl's expression was not much better either. He looked around, then glanced at Finral beside him.
Finral was no longer like before, when using space transport just once would leave him completely limp like a dead dog.
After constant training along the way, both his control over magic power and his stamina had improved.
So at that moment, he could barely keep himself steady.
Finral said to Carl with an ugly expression:
"The transport just now was perfectly accurate, but the moment we landed, some strange gray mist around us seemed to interfere with space."
"Senior Vanessa disappeared while resisting that black mist."
"There's something strange about this place."
Carl immediately nodded.
"Yeah."
He had not expected to lose someone the moment they entered.
And the one they had lost was Vanessa.
This made Carl even more vigilant.
When he saw the two people before him, Carl immediately frowned.
He looked at Yuno and asked:
"Did the two of you come alone? The Golden Dawn only sent you two?"
Klaus frowned at the side.
Clearly, Carl was leading the Black Bulls.
But in Klaus's eyes, Carl was merely a newcomer.
Klaus believed that, as a senior, Carl did not even show him the most basic respect.
That made him extremely displeased.
Yuno looked up at Klaus, hesitated for a moment, then said:
"Carl, there were three Golden Dawn members who came to the Elven Ruins together."
"One of our teammates, Mimosa Vermillion, seemed to trigger some kind of trap after entering the Elven Ruins and then lost contact with us."
Carl's frown deepened.
He was not overly anxious about Vanessa's disappearance. After all, there was still a mental link between him and Vanessa.
As long as he got a little closer, he could sense Vanessa's location through the phantom of the Red Thread Cat on the back of his hand.
But now, a Golden Dawn member had also gone missing.
If this continued, his mission might be completely screwed.
That was absolutely unacceptable to him.
Carl looked at Yuno seriously, his expression solemn.
"So how has your search been going?"
Yuno immediately felt somewhat awkward.
Then he guiltily glanced at Carl.
"We were just about to continue exploring ahead..."
Seeing Yuno's expression, Carl immediately grew a little angry.
After all, Yuno had spent some time with Asta and Carl.
Carl understood Yuno's expressions to some extent as well.
Yuno's guilty reaction clearly proved that they had not put much thought into seriously finding a way to search for Mimosa.
Carl's gaze sharpened. "The bonds between teammates are what matter most."
"One of your members has gone missing, yet you two are not planning to keep searching. Instead, you want to explore the ruins ahead and claim the rewards?"
