Inside the Time Variance Authority's grand hall.

A flash of golden light streaked past, and four figures appeared.

Before them lay shattered holographic screens, while torn Time Guard uniforms and weapons were scattered across the floor.

The air was thick with the remnants of some scorched energy.

Wanda ran her fingers over a crack in the wall. "A fierce battle took place here, and it was a long time ago."

Kara floated in midair, her Super-Sight piercing through layer upon layer of spatial structures. "This entire domain has been thrown into chaos. What were those people doing here?"

Koo Ja-yoon crouched down and examined the fragments. "These marks weren't made by conventional weapons."

Xiao Han stood before the central control console, one hand pressed against the cracked operating panel.

Countless streams of data flashed through his eyes, yet all he caught was a chaotic mass of garbled code.

"Loki isn't here." He raised his head and looked into the Void.

"Or rather, he's already gone."

"Let's see what exactly happened here."

He slowly raised both hands, and golden ripples spread from his palms.

The entire hall began to tremble violently. The shattered walls reassembled like a film playing in reverse, scattered corpses stood back up, and congealed blood flowed backward into wounds.

Time was flowing backward!

Countless blurry figures flickered rapidly around them, until the scene finally froze at a single moment.

At the center of the hall stood a purple giant in golden armor, his hands clasped behind his back.

He was taller and older than an ordinary Thanos, and beside him floated a flaming skull.

"Kneel, insects." Golden Thanos's voice rang out.

"Your deaths are a release."

With a wave of his hand, the flaming skull swelled abruptly, instantly devouring half the Time Guards in the hall.
