Background / History
Kara was sent away from Krypton by her scientist parents, who foresaw the planet's destruction. Her ship malfunctioned while passing through the Phantom Zone, carrying her through a spacetime disturbance into another universe. More than twenty years passed during the journey; although she was chronologically older than Clark Kent, its effects left her biologically younger. She identifies herself as one of the last survivors of the House of Zor-El. 72 73
After reaching Earth, Kara's ship was found by humans. She was imprisoned in a Siberian military research facility for over a decade, held in a lead-and-Kryptonite cell and subjected to experimentation. Malnutrition reduced her cellular activity to less than one-tenth of a normal Kryptonian's. 72
Xiao Han detected her with Super-Sight and rescued her alongside Wanda Maximoff. Wanda neutralized the base guards, while Xiao Han destroyed Kara's restraints and stabilized her first uncontrolled exposure to sunlight with his Biofield. The resonance between Kara and Xiao Han's Kryptonian cells confirmed to her that she was no longer alone. 72
Kara learned that Clark Kent existed in this universe but came from a separate Krypton. She wished to meet him despite their lack of direct familial connection, and soon fought beside Clark, Xiao Han, Wanda, and the Justice League against Doomsday and Injustice Superman. 73 74 75
Her captivity left her distrustful of humanity. After the Injustice Superman crisis, Kara accepted Wanda's invitation to leave the DC universe with her and Xiao Han. She settled at their Long Island villa in the Marvel universe, where she began experiencing safety, friendship, and ordinary domestic life. 76 77
Appearance
Kara has blonde or golden hair and blue eyes, later described as ice-blue with starlike patterns after her solar evolution. Her appearance visibly improved as sunlight restored her health following captivity. 72 239
- Initially wore a tattered blue Kryptonian suit and Kryptonite shackles during her imprisonment. 72
- Later received gold-and-black nanotechnology armor marked with a redesigned Zor Family crest. 86
- Her upgraded Infinity Armor has reinforced shoulder plates and gauntlets designed for high-speed Kryptonian combat. 120
- During her cosmic evolution, her battle suit appeared to become flowing golden energy, with starlight moving through her hair. 163
Personality
Kara initially reacts to human institutions with anger and suspicion, shaped by her captivity and experimentation. She is especially sensitive to Kryptonite-based safeguards and the tendency of humans to fear powerful beings they do not understand. Despite this trauma, she accepts Wanda's reassurance that not all humans resemble her captors and works to control her emotions. 73
She is curious, energetic, and eager to test herself in battle. Kara readily volunteered for combat after arriving in the Marvel universe, challenged powerful opponents such as Hyperion, and later embraced increasingly extreme solar training. 78 84 215
Beneath her confidence, Kara deeply desires belonging and family. She regards Xiao Han and Wanda as the people who rescued and cared for her, and her loneliness becomes evident when she worries about whether she has a place with them. 130
Abilities & Skills
Kryptonian Physiology
Kara's cells absorb solar radiation and convert it into power. Prolonged exposure to yellow-sun and stellar energy continually enhances her physical abilities. 72 237
- Superhuman strength, speed, durability, flight, and environmental survival.
- Heat Vision and Freeze Breath. 74 86
- Can survive and move freely within the Sun after extensive adaptation. 237
- Her solar absorption can become dangerous without regulation; Xiao Han's Biofield was necessary to stabilize her initial recovery and later prevent overload in the Sun's core. 72 357
Biofield
Kara's Biofield potential was activated by Xiao Han, expanding her abilities beyond direct physical combat. 162
- Creates force fields and defensive spheres. 162
- Can expand her Biofield around allies during large-scale spatial crises. 190
- Has learned to bend light through the Biofield for brief invisibility. 272
- Her upgraded Biofield ignored the cyberpunk world's pulse weapons with little more than an invisible ripple. 327
Super Senses and Super Brain
Kara's Kryptonian mind and senses allow her to process vast amounts of information and perceive distant threats.
- Rapidly absorbed information about the Marvel universe upon arriving there. 77
- Uses Super-Sight to examine alien ruins, planetary defenses, armor systems, and energy structures. 112 113 178
- Uses Super-Hearing to monitor conversations over long distances. 187
Infinity Stone Integration
Kara's armor was designed to channel Infinity Stone energy through her Kryptonian physiology. 120
- Power Stone — exponentially increases physical strength through her Biofield. 120
- Space Stone — grants immediate teleportation. 120
- Mind Stone — provides resistance to mental control and may allow thought-reading. 120
- Six-Stone armor configuration — temporarily wielded all six Infinity Stones during the universe-collision crisis. 191
Cosmic Solar Evolution
Solar-core training transformed Kara into a cosmic-scale Kryptonian whose energy can affect stars, space, and higher-dimensional structures. 163 239
- Perceives the “threads of the universe” and manifests miniature nebulae. 163
- Creates and manipulates stellar-level energy.
- Distorts local spacetime through overwhelming energy output, including freezing several light-years of space. 163
- Formed a higher-dimensional domain resembling Xiao Han's space-time powers after her later evolution. 239
- Reached the Multiversal level after sustained solar-core training. 357
Equipment / Weapons / Items
- Gold-and-black Kryptonian nanotech armor — bears the redesigned Zor Family crest and deploys over her body as nanomachines. 86
- Infinity Armor — reinforced black-and-gold armor designed for Kryptonian speed and close combat; integrates Artificial Sun energy systems and Infinity Stones. 120
- Amazon amulet — given by Diana as a blessing for a safe journey from the DC universe. 77
Relationships
- Xiao Han — Rescuer, mentor, and closest companion. He freed Kara from captivity, taught her to regulate her powers, awakened her Biofield, and guided her solar evolution. 72 162 163
- Wanda Maximoff — Rescuer, confidante, and sister-like companion. Wanda comforted Kara during her recovery, welcomed her into the Marvel universe, and recognized her desire for family. 72 77 130
- Clark Kent / Superman — Fellow Kryptonian from a different universe and Krypton. Kara sought him out after her rescue, fought beside him, and left on warm terms. 73 74 77
- Diana / Wonder Woman — Ally and training partner. Diana welcomed Kara in the DC universe and later trained alongside her in Xiao Han's solar time-space domain. 74 238
- Koo Ja-yoon — Teammate and fellow solar-energy trainee. They trained in the Sun, fought Judge Celestials together, and continued developing alongside Wanda and Diana. 163 238
