The golden light faded, and the five of them reappeared in the villa's training room.

Cracks from the earlier energy surge still scarred the walls, but the tension in the room was gone.

Kara stretched, a bright smile on her face.

"Finally, that's settled! I thought the fight would last longer!"

Koo Ja-yoon tilted her head, puzzled.

"Come to think of it, that wasn't as dangerous as I expected?"

Diana chuckled and shook her head.

"Maybe Chthon wasn't weak. Maybe we had Wanda and Xiao on our side."

Koo Ja-yoon blinked in sudden realization and nodded.

"Oh! Right!"

Kara picked up the thread, her tone light but not entirely joking.

"If anyone else had gone in—Strange and the others, say—the Chaos Whisper probably would've driven them mad before they even saw Chthon."

Xiao Han looked at them with a faint smile, though his gaze remained steady.

"Don't relax too much. Chthon was sealed away for years and lost much of his power, but he's still a god on the level of the Multiverse. Never underestimate him."

He paused, looking around at them.

"If my abilities hadn't happened to counter his, that fight would never have been so easy."

Wanda nodded, still feeling a little dazed.

Xiao Han was right. Without his power over rules suppressing Chthon, she could never have absorbed his energy.

She looked down at her palm. Crimson energy flowed across it, deeper and vaster than ever before.

It felt like energy that could destroy everything—and create everything anew!

She had the feeling that, if she wanted to, she could now destroy a universe with ease, perhaps even affect the Multiverse.

She did not dare follow that thought further. She sensed that this was not the limit of Chaos!

And she was still absorbing Chaos energy!

She
