"I'll find the Sequence 8 Potion formula for the Bard Pathway as soon as I can, but not today. Is that acceptable?" Audrey considered her words, then glanced toward the head of the ancient table. "We can ask Mr. Fool to witness our agreement."
The figure shrouded in thick fog at the head of the Bronze Long Table smiled.
"Miss Justice, perhaps I could pay for the Light Suppliant formula on your behalf."
Klein has a formula for the Bard Pathway too?
He seems to have quite a few sources.
Sifa watched them complete the transaction without betraying any reaction. Audrey then chose to speak with the Sun privately. That piqued Sifa's curiosity. He was interested in Dragons too, but he didn't want to spend his resources on the subject, so he held back.
After all, Audrey had exchanged knowledge with the Sun because of her own Pathway. Sifa was not a Spectator.
The Hanged Man seemed to feel the same way. He remained silent and waited.
After the Sun and Audrey finished, the others talked for a while longer. Then Klein announced the end of this week's Tarot Club gathering.
For a moment, everything blurred.
When Sifa came to his senses, he saw his bedroom. He got up, stretched, moved around a little, then put on an understated light coat and left.
After a slight disguise, he went to a bank and withdrew three thousand pounds from his anonymous account.
He then went to the Mermaid Cafe, asked for a quiet room, and ordered coffee and cake.
Sifa closed the door, took the paper and pen he had prepared from his pocket, and began to write.
Out of habit, he started with "Dear Mr. Oswald." After a moment's thought, he took a fresh sheet of paper and started again.
