"Tomorrow Will Have No Night: The Criminal Pathway is also known as the Abyss Pathway. The King of Immortality is a Sequence 4 of this pathway. Sequence 9 Criminals are physically strong and proficient with weapons. Sequence 8 Unwinged Angels lose their conscience and gain spell-like abilities. Sequence 7 Serial Killers can summon Devil projections. Sequence 6 Devils are extremely powerful in close combat, can use spells and the Language of Foulness, and can foresee danger, making them very difficult to target. Sequence 5 Desire Apostles can manipulate their enemies' desires, further enhancing their ability in direct combat. Sequence 4 comes with an area-of-effect stupidity spell."
"Nian Jingren: I remember the most broken ability of the Criminal Pathway being their ability to sense danger directed at them and avoid traps. So you can only take things as they come when dealing with them. You can't make preparations or plans beforehand, though they probably only gain this ability at Sequence 6. I don't remember much about the Admiral of Blood, only that Klein turned him into a Marionette. I think he was a Wraith."
Two more Watchers had mentioned "foreseeing danger." Although it only came at Sequence 6, that was already ridiculously overpowered. To deal with them, he could only take things as they came, or use "luck" to increase the chances of a chance encounter, as that earlier Watcher had suggested.
In that case, the only way to deal with high-Sequence Beyonders of this pathway is through chance encounters.
No advance preparations, no setting traps. That puts me at quite a disadvantage.
Wait...
The King of Immortality is a Sequence 4? Agalito? As expected of a great pirate who dares to call himself a king. He really is exceptionally powerful.
