There was no good way to counter it. Only abilities involving concealment could offer a slight advantage.
And Amon was absorbing characteristics of the same Sequence. That made carrying "Mrs. Christie" around a bad idea. As that Watcher had said, storing her in the Spirit World Treasure Chest and taking her out when needed would be safer.
What a terrifying fellow. Whenever the Watchers mention Amon, they always emphasize his monocle. It seems both his main body and his avatars habitually wear one.
That's something to watch for. From now on, whenever I see someone wearing a monocle, whether they're human or some other creature, I'd better run as far away as possible.
