Sifa spent a very pleasant Friday. There were no missions, and no out-of-control Beyonders or Demigods disturbed him. Like a genuine tourist, he visited several elven ruins with a local guide. One or two of them were clearly later fabrications, however. Although Sifa was no historian, he could still judge from the condition of the murals and a few subtle clues.
He did not dig any deeper. The real elven ruins might have been placed under the Feysac Empire's protection, with people assigned to study and decipher them. As a Beyonder who might have just provoked the Feysac Military, Sifa only wanted to stay quietly in Glen Town, not in some prison.
That day, he also tasted a dish similar to blood curd stew, made from animal innards and a variety of spices to produce a distinctive flavor.
Sifa also saw a type of utensil the elves had created: chopsticks!
They gave him an inexplicable sense of familiarity.
Toward evening, the Iceberg Admiral arrived in Glen Town with several pirates, though she had not brought Danitz or Jodson this time. Posing as merchants, they replenished their supplies of food, water, and medicine on the island.
That night, Sifa took Edwina to the Wild Horse Bar and treated her to Glen Town's Feyg Spirits.
After taking a sip of the golden liquid, Edwina watched the passionate, uninhibited Feysac beauties swaying on the dance floor and said in a rather indifferent tone, "After you left, someone began watching us in secret."
Sifa's expression shifted. "Do you know who?"
Edwina gazed at the liquid in her glass. "Not yet, but Jodson went to investigate. Still, to avoid any unexpected trouble, we'll return to the Golden Dream tomorrow."
"Tomorrow?"
"Yes, tomorrow," the Iceberg Admiral said evenly. "We'll start searching for Death's Treasure on Monday.
