Perhaps the message he had just read contained too much information, and the figures involved stood at far too high a level. Merely reading it had nearly depleted Sifa's spirituality.
He could read no more, nor was he in any mood to read the other messages, so he ended the summoning.
The Book of Mysteries vanished before his eyes, and the room's colors returned to normal. But Sifa was still immersed in the complicated emotions stirred up by that message, so much so that he did not even notice when Kardashian emerged from the wardrobe.
The exotic-looking woman with straight black hair looked at Sifa expressionlessly. "What happened? Why have your emotions become so complicated?"
"Anger, helplessness, despair, sorrow..."
"I must remind you that overly intense emotions, especially negative ones, can easily cause you to lose control."
At Kardashian's words, Sifa nodded and closed his eyes. Using the Meditation Method, he gradually calmed himself. It took ten minutes before he finally regained his composure.
Once he had calmed down, Sifa considered what he should do next.
Had he known nothing about this, he could have enjoyed the New Year holiday, gathered Beyonder ingredients, and relaxed his body and mind in preparation for his adventures at sea after the New Year.
But now, he could not stand idly by, especially since he had seen the people of Backlund's East Borough with his own eyes, as well as those with similar experiences in Tingen and Enqi Town. He had witnessed their lives.
He had seen how they struggled to keep living despite their hardships. He could not accept that these people, who worked so hard to survive, would unknowingly become sacrifices to gods and those in power.
He could not watch indifferently as they were slaughtered like livestock. He decided to act.
