The sea mist in the captain's cabin grew thicker and denser. Sifa could even smell the briny scent of seawater, and saw a layer of illusory seawater flowing across the floor at some unknown time, washing over his feet and spreading throughout the room.
A faint figure appeared within the sea mist. Cyan candlelight shone from the fog, making the room seem dreamlike.
A moment later, the Spirit World creature Sifa had summoned emerged from the mist, half-concealed and half-revealed before his eyes. She was an exceptionally beautiful lady with thick gray hair, azure eyes, pale cyan lips, and striking features touched by a faint melancholy.
She wore an extraordinarily splendid court gown, as though she were about to attend some banquet. Fine cyan-gold scales covered everything below her neck, as well as the parts of her body exposed to the air.
Her entire body was illusory, and she carried a strong aura of the sea. Yet that aura was tranquil and peaceful, like the ocean in the morning.
Sifa rubbed his eyes to make sure he had not seen wrongly. He knew this lady. While traveling through the Spirit World, he had encountered her several times. Each time, she appeared in places within the Spirit World that resembled the sea, accompanied by beautiful singing.
"Did you summon me?" the gray-haired woman in the court gown covered in cyan-gold scales asked calmly, speaking Ancient Feysac.
That seemed to indicate that she was extremely ancient. Sifa hurriedly replied in Ancient Feysac, "Yes."
Then he said seriously, "Would you be willing to make a contract and become my messenger?"
Instead of answering, the lady asked, "Do you like music?"
Sifa did not wish to deceive her, so he said, "It's alright."
