Having traveled the seas for more than half a year, Sifa had naturally heard plenty of rumors about the King of Immortality. Of the Four Kings of the Sea, the King of Immortality and the King of the Five Seas were the best known.
The former was the subject of all sorts of bizarre tales and stories of broken promises.
As for the latter, anyone who spent so much as two days at sea would hear the great name of the King of the Five Seas.
By contrast, rumors about Queen Mystic and the other ruler of the seas were scarce, almost nonexistent. Sifa had only learned about Queen Mystic from the information provided by the Watchers. The Black Sails files contained only the simple description, "She is a mysterious lady." There was no information at all about the last king-not even whether they were male or female, or human.
There were so many rumors about the King of Immortality that Sifa would hear snippets of his exploits from time to time. Among all those rumors, the most contentious concerned Agalito's strength.
Some believed he was a demigod; otherwise, he would not deserve his title as a king of the seas. And some of the examples they cited did indeed suggest a demigod's standing.
Others said he was only Sequence 5 and reached the level of Sequence 4 with the help of his ship, the Death Announcer. This speculation stemmed from the fact that there were almost no records of the King of Immortality directly clashing with another king of the seas or a military demigod.
Both sides stuck to their claims, and each had some reasonable arguments. However, they agreed on one point: Agalito had lived long enough. That also lent credibility to the rumor that he had drunk
