That eye looks a lot like the Admiral of Stars'. Is Ludwell spying on us? I'd love to give it a fireball, but this is the Future. Cattleya should call the shots. Sifa remained secretly on guard but made no move.
Ludwell couldn't possibly fail to recognize the Admiral of Stars. Perhaps our auras really did draw him here, but unless he's completely lost his reason, he'll have reservations. Having the highest bounty of any pirate admiral doesn't mean he'll necessarily dare attack another admiral.
Well, as a last resort, the Future can still fly at high speed to escape danger. But using that in the Sea of Ruins is far too dangerous. If we escape the wolf's jaws only to enter the tiger's den, we'll be in trouble.
As Sifa pondered, Cattleya beside him made no move either. After a while, the nearly transparent, illusory eye vanished.
Looks like the Admiral of Stars is exercising restraint too. That makes sense. Pirate admirals may not fear one another, but they'll avoid unnecessary battles when they can. Sifa stared at the distant black ship shrouded in eerie green, hoping it would turn around.
But the sailing ship showed no intention of leaving. Instead, it grew increasingly distinct. Even without activating Spirit Vision, he could see white skeletons busily working its sails. Some wore leather armor, while others wore nothing. Beside them, pale zombies carrying longswords stared over with eyes stained by eerie green flames.
When Sifa activated Spirit Vision, the scene aboard the Black Tulip became even livelier. Countless phantoms, wraiths, and bizarre spirit world creatures wheeled and circled above the ship.
The clothing on Sifa's back wriggled slightly. Ordinarily, Cattleya would have noticed this anomaly, but her attention was now entirely focused on the ship opposite them.
Cattleya said softly,
