Aboard the sailing ships in Vice Admiral Deep Sea's fleet, the pirates went from looking straight ahead to raising their heads, until they could only gaze up at the Explorer, now ten meters high, and the figure standing at its bow, electricity flickering from the spear in his hand.
As the waves rose, dark clouds piled up in the previously clear sky. Vast banks of thick gray cloud blocked the sunlight, casting a bleak gloom over the once azure sea.
Lightning flashed within the ever-thickening clouds, accompanied by rumbling thunder. Silver-white bolts struck down from time to time, branching repeatedly as they fell, scattering countless slender offshoots like silver blossoms on iron trees.
Fierce winds swept across the sea, lightning struck from the sky, and seawater rose into a wall. To the pirates in Vice Admiral Deep Sea's fleet, it looked like a scene from the end of the world.
And all their eyes were fixed on the figure at the Explorer's bow.
The opposing captain, Hunter Rayleigh, held his electric spear high. Lightning formed his backdrop, fierce winds howled around him, and the sea bore him aloft. His figure blurred amid the lightning, wind, and waves, yet the pirates felt an urge to prostrate themselves in worship.
It was as though, at that moment, they faced not merely a hunter, but a god descended into the mortal world!
