After being possessed by an Evil Spirit for nearly a day, an ordinary person would inevitably have suffered lingering problems or illnesses that were hard to detect. Fortunately, Chik was a Beyonder, and a Middle Sequence one at that. Both his spirituality and his body were far stronger than an ordinary person's, so after Mrs. Hilda left his body, he had only been unconscious for a short while. Now he was awake.
"How are you feeling?"
An unfamiliar voice reached him. Chik looked up and saw a dark-skinned man with ordinary features approaching, seemingly an islander. He hurriedly rolled away to put some distance between them and reached inside his clothes for the revolver in his shoulder holster, only to find it empty.

The stranger paused, then slapped his forehead. "I completely forgot."
Chik watched him rub his cheeks. The muscles of his face began to squirm, his features shifted slightly, his hair rapidly turned black, and a faint scar swiftly appeared beneath his left eye.
In an instant, a familiar face appeared before Chik. The gray-haired man exclaimed softly, "Captain?"
Sifa removed the Thousand-Faced Traveler, which he no longer needed, and nodded at Chik. "It's me. How are you feeling? Does anything feel wrong?"
Chik stood up and tried moving his limbs, then shook his head. "Aside from some numbness in my arms and legs, nothing else feels wrong."
"Captain, we need to leave right away. There's an Evil Spirit here, and a Beyonder who's at least a Spirit Medium."
Sifa pointed at Liana a short distance away. "If you mean her, the danger has already passed. She's under control. As for the Evil Spirit, I've eliminated it."
