On the deck of the Explorer, the sailors cried out in surprise as they watched Nelson dive straight into the sea without any protective measures. Then there was no sign of him. Nearly ten minutes later, Nelson finally surfaced.
He climbed back onto the deck, soaked from head to toe. Beneath his skin, illusory fish scales flickered in and out of view.
Taking the towel a sailor handed him, Nelson wiped himself down as he said excitedly to Sifa, "It's incredible, Captain. I felt as nimble as a fish in the sea. This isn't something you can achieve just by being familiar with swimming. So this is what a Sailor is like. Ha, I love it!"
Sifa nodded and smiled. "Work hard, Mr. Nelson. Maybe one day, you'll be the captain of the Explorer."
Nelson nodded eagerly before the sailors surrounded him. Sifa smiled and headed for the captain's cabin. Seeing First Mate O'Neill watching Nelson with envy on his face, Sifa snapped his fingers to draw his attention.
"Mr. O'Neill, how well have you digested your potion? If you've fully digested it, I'll apply for the next Sequence potion for you."
O'Neill was a Beyonder of the Arbiter Pathway, one of the more common Beyonder Pathways in the Loen Kingdom's military. When Sifa asked, the first mate said somewhat sheepishly, "I only became a Beyonder last year. I'll probably need a few more months before I fully digest the potion for this stage."
Sifa did not mind, nor did he make a point of guiding O'Neill. As for the pawn Black Sails had placed at his side, Sifa felt neither goodwill nor ill will toward him. He certainly would not take the initiative to reveal that he had mastered the Acting Method, lest Black Sails discover that he had
