A hired carriage stopped outside the restaurant. The door opened, and Sifa stepped out, wearing the guise of Duke, with two neatly groomed tufts of mustache and a sternly chiseled face.
Behind him was the Seer, Caven, dressed in a black formal suit and a silk top hat.
Looking at the lavishly decorated restaurant, Sifa smiled. "Well? Does it remind you a little of home?"
A trace of wistfulness appeared in Caven's eyes. The Intis native soon regained his composure and smiled. "We really didn't need to come this far for a meal."
"No. Being in good spirits before an operation is one of the keys to success."
"Relax, my friend." Sifa walked through the entrance, removed his hat, and handed it to a waiter in a red vest.
Since they had no reservation, they could only take a table by the window rather than enjoy the privacy of a separate dining room.
Looking at the oil paintings on the walls, the strategically placed marble statues, and the gold ornaments everywhere, Caven sighed softly. "This really is a lovely place. It makes me feel as though I'm back in Trier."
The waiter in the red vest smiled. "Is this your first visit, gentlemen?"
Sifa nodded with a smile. "Yes."
"Then may I have the pleasure of introducing you to our restaurant's signature dishes and fine wines?" the waiter asked at an unhurried pace.
"Of course," Sifa said, nodding.
The waiter brought over the food and wine menus. Written in Ancient Feysac, the menu was no different from when Sifa had visited this restaurant as a baron's son.
The waiter patiently described the restaurant's renowned dishes, going over the main courses, appetizers, desserts, and their wine pairings.
Finally, he added attentively, "If you're unsure what
