Under the barrage, the buildings around the rebel headquarters—including those built in the trees—were almost completely flattened.
There were still quite a few rebel Soldiers inside the headquarters. They had never expected Loen to open two fronts at once. Caught off guard, many of them failed to escape the buildings in time and were buried beneath the collapsed structures, pinned under rubble or trees.
Looking at the results, Sifa gave a slight nod. At the same time, he thought, If I had chosen "Throw Item," I could have brought out dozens of coastal-defense cannons and bombarded the area. The sight would surely have been spectacular.
He could even bring out the Ironclad, the Pritz. Just thinking about it was exciting.
Unfortunately, this was the mysterious world, where the mystical surpassed reality. The "Throw Item" ability was still at a disadvantage. Unless he had seen a great many Sealed Artifacts, the other two options were more practical.
At that moment, Soldiers from the rebels and members of the Rose School emerged from the flames and ruins.
Since he had already handed Mr. X over to Kardashian's projection, Sifa no longer needed to split his attention to control that Marionette. He spread both hands, and, as if performing a magic trick, sent Fire Crows flying out from between his palms.
The densely packed, blazing-red crows created a series of explosions, suppressing the rebels so they dared not charge at full speed. They could only dodge the attacks while trying to close in.
This gave Sifa's side time and space.
Under Kardashian's projection's control, Mr. X extended his palm toward the rebels and solemnly declared in Ancient Hermes, "Possession is forbidden here."
Among the rebels, Lydon, who had one hand pressed against his top hat and wore a tailcoat, suddenly turned transparent and
