When Sifa followed Earl Condon into the grand hall, he saw that it was packed with people.
The nobles, ministers, and members of Parliament stood in two rows.
Among them, Sifa spotted Prime Minister Lord Aguesid Negan, the Minister of the Navy, the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Navy, and others.
Before the throne stood two rows of spirited young guards.
They wore red ceremonial military uniforms, white trousers, and sashes, cradling rifles in their hands with imposing dignity.
On either side of the throne stood two black-armored knights, as still as statues.
Their full suits of black armor gleamed with a cold metallic sheen, while their deep black helmets conveyed a sense of weight, authority, and unquestionable obedience.
Upon the throne sat George III, wearing a crown. His face was resolute, his small mustache neatly trimmed, and though his expression was solemn, the corners of his mouth were faintly raised.
Under the scrutiny of all those gazes—especially those of major figures such as King George III, Prime Minister Aguesid, and the Commander-in-Chief of the Navy—
Sifa vaguely felt an invisible pressure.
But that was all.
He was a Sequence 3 War Bishop, a blessed of the Lord of Storms, someone who had dealt with Kings of Angels and lived through so many events.
He was no longer the rookie he had once been.
Such pressure was nowhere near enough to crush him.
Still, Sifa made himself appear slightly nervous.
He made himself fit the image of a newly advanced Iron-blooded Knight, a young man who had only recently begun to make a name for himself at sea.
Following Earl Condon to the foot of the throne, Sifa straightened his back and gave the king a military salute.
