After a moment of disorientation, Sifa found himself back in that dim room.
Audrey, on the other side of the wall, immediately noticed. Without showing it, she cast a Soothing spell before asking, "Mr. Chariot, how did it go? Did you succeed?"
Sifa smiled. "You could say so. I reached an understanding with my other self."
Justice Audrey smiled faintly. "As you requested, you reached an understanding with the split-off consciousness. For now, the two of you can coexist peacefully, and there should be no risk of collapse or Loss of Control in the short term."
"This was the safest method I could think of."
Audrey's smile gradually faded. "But this still isn't a solution. The ideal outcome would be for the two personalities to merge into one, with your primary personality taking the lead and the secondary personality disappearing."
"Although that secondary personality could be considered Angel-level, I should still be able to try—"
Sifa nodded. "It's fine. This is my choice."
"And I don't think Road could disappear so easily."
What Sifa did not say was that the personality known as Road had likely existed even before he transmigrated.
After arriving in this world, Road had rapidly grown under stimulation and gradually become more prominent.
After Sifa became a Beyonder, Road had grown even stronger.
In other words, Road had not formed recently.
It would definitely not be easy to merge with that personality.
Moreover, doing so might instead provoke Road, making the outcome even harder to predict.
It was better to reach an understanding with Road for now and coexist peacefully.
