Odys's spiritual intuition told him that what had happened to Dylan Edmond was far from simple.

He pondered for a moment before asking, "Have you tried having someone approach that shadowy figure to see if they could communicate with him?"

"I did." A trace of regret appeared on Dylan's face. "I shouldn't have tried so casually."

After a pause, he said, "Under normal circumstances, no one else can see that shadowy figure. Only after I point him out can people see him.

"So I had one of the servants at home observe the shadowy figure from up close.

"But while he was still some distance away from it, pale blue flames suddenly ignited all over his body. By the time I rushed over to put out the fire, he had already burned to death.

"And he was burned thoroughly, leaving behind nothing but ashes."

Dylan sighed. "Ever since then, I haven't dared let anyone approach that shadowy figure again."

Odys thought for a moment before asking, "You didn't go to the church to seek a solution?"

"My uncle said that if the church found out about this, I would die even faster." Dylan gave a bitter smile. "My father also told me not to let the church know about it if possible.

"They seem to know some inside details too, but no matter how I asked, they refused to tell me.

"So I could only travel around with my father looking for a solution. We tried all sorts of strange methods, like hiding inside an urn for an entire day, but that shadowy figure was still there."

"I suggest you seek help from the church." Odys said, "Compared to us, churches with histories spanning thousands of years have seen many strange problems and possess ways to solve them."
