Klein wore the same formal suit and dark overcoat as yesterday.

Odys was dressed more casually, in looser clothes. Since today's exploration might lead to a fight, he also wore a bracer on his right arm.

Using the Alchemy Glasses, Odys had fashioned the bracer from a Black Spider's shell into Beyonder Armor. Besides offering excellent protection, it concealed one of the Black Spider's sharp, long legs, which could strike targets within two meters.

The leg was sharper than the finest sword and had a corrosive effect. Odys was very pleased with this piece of Beyonder armor.

Odys and Klein had fought together the previous night, so there was no awkwardness between them. After a brief chat, Odys took Klein by the shoulder and summoned an Illusory Door.

After more than twenty seconds of Travel, they arrived at the place they had agreed to meet the Hanged Man, Alger.

It was Longtail Island, in the southern Berserk Sea. Far from the Rorsted Archipelago, it lay in a relatively empty stretch of sea with few islands and many Dangerous Seas nearby.

As a result, even centuries after the Age of Exploration, this region had not been fully developed.

Alger had gone to considerable trouble to find it.

Longtail Island was a small colonial island whose main products were rubber and iron ore.

Because of its remote location, its only city stood at the port and was barely larger than a town. Such a place was paradise for pirates. The city might even have grown from a pirate gathering place.

An Illusory Door suddenly appeared on the beach. Odys and Klein stepped out and saw a rugged middle-aged man not far away, with sharply defined features and deep-blue hair.

He was Alger, codenamed the Hanged Man and captain of the Blue Avenger.
