"Two days ago, our Captain said she needed to do some research in her study and told us not to disturb her," Bru said at once. "She does that often, so we didn't think much of it.

"Yesterday, we realized something was wrong, but without the Captain's orders, it was hard to break into her study with all its Beyonder defenses.

"She still hadn't appeared today. We finally found a way to open the study door just now, only to discover she was gone.

"We've searched everywhere. She isn't anywhere on the ship."

Halfway through, Odys already understood what had happened. She had gone into the book.
