Alger accepted the Sealed Artifact Odys gave him, one equivalent to Sequence 6. He felt it was an appropriate token of thanks.

Odys then sought out Shatas, Mobet, and the ascetic Snoman. But they refused any reward. Odys had helped them return safely from the "book" to the Real World; helping him protect Krus Island was only right.

So Odys thanked them another way. He temporarily lent the Ghost, a ship in his pirate fleet, to Shatas and Mobet. He also allowed Snoman to preach on Krus Island.

They gladly accepted.

As for Groselle and Longzel, they had been the first to enter the battle and had fought with great courage.

Odys gave them three choices: a Magical Item equivalent to Sequence 5, 8,000 gold pounds, or accumulated merit toward becoming Demi-Gods.

Odys felt that once he became a Demi-God, he should be able to obtain some Demi-God-level potion formulas and offer them some help in advancing.

Both chose merit. Groselle thought the Extraordinary Machine Cannon worked so well that he had no need for another Magical Item.

Longzel already wore a Sequence 5-level Magical Item and two other Extraordinary items. They placed a burden on his spirituality, and he did not want to wear more.

Neither of them needed gold pounds.

Bazel and the other crew members had fought bravely too, but their lower levels meant their contributions had not matched Groselle's and Longzel's.
