The man imprisoned in the Black Monastery had said his name was Herabergen!

Odys froze for a second or two.

Someone else with the same name?

Unlikely.

As a rule, even a name became distinctive once its owner became a True God.

Odys had never even heard of two Angels sharing a name, let alone True Gods.

But if Herabergen was locked up here, who was the "God of Knowledge and Wisdom" outside?

Odys quickly composed himself and kept listening to Bevis's conversation with the man.

Bevis thought for a few seconds before smiling. "I've never heard that name before."

Then he asked, "How can you contact me? I mean, you're trapped in the War of the Gods Ruins, so why have I been able to hear your voice since I was little?"

The man calling himself Herabergen said, "Let me out. Once I'm free, I'll answer any question you have."

"No." Bevis was firm. "Once you're out, I might never find you again."

"After I get out, I'll take you to dig up treasure and make your family one of the great families of the Beyonder world," the man said. "But if you insist, I can tell you first.

"Your ancestors were once among my most devout followers.

"I remember the scent of your bloodline. That's how I can find you."

Bevis nodded. "Why were you locked up here?"

"Two despicable Sons of God ambushed me!" Resentment and fury still rasped through the man's voice.

Odys recalled the prayer of the monster before the cross. Adam and Amon had ambushed the Wisdom Angel and locked him up here?

He had the sudden urge to scratch his head. Should he believe the man?

Unless the man was in league with the monster, their stories would not match so closely.
