Aboard the Trident, Klein had just watched the Snow Queen's doll enter Groselle's Travels, so he knew something had gone wrong inside the book. After a word with Sharron and Miss Messenger, he went to the washroom, took four steps counterclockwise, and ascended above the Gray Fog. He planned to use his connection with The Tower to see whether Abner needed help.
But he had barely sat down in the Fool's seat when he saw the Crimson Star representing The Tower rapidly expand and contract.
Abner really does need help... Klein reached out with his Spirituality at once.
Then his expression turned strange. Judging by the background in the Crimson Star, Abner had already returned to the Trident. What he was asking the Fool for left Klein speechless.
"Milk? Where am I supposed to get him milk? No, wait—what does he need milk for?"
Klein grumbled inwardly. Only after listening to the rest of Abner's explanation did he understand.
So a "living" object needs it, and it isn't satisfied with the milk Abner "forged" from raw materials. It won't accept the milk Ms. Daphne pulled from history either... If it doesn't get what it wants, it'll alter the creatures around it to produce milk for it?
Frank's just a Biologist, and he can make the Future produce milk. According to The Tower, this "scepter" is essentially an Angel of the Planter Pathway?
If it really runs amok, no one aboard the Trident will escape—not even Sharron and me!
An image of himself and Sharron endlessly spraying milk flashed through Klein's mind, and he shuddered. If The Tower hadn't still been able to suppress the chopstick-sized scepter, he would have taken Sharron and fled with the Book of Endless Teleportation.
*Wait... Frank! Frank must have milk. He even cultivated hybrid bacteria
