"An aura of knowledge?" Abner frowned, inexplicably making some associations. Then he had Edwina lead the way to see what exactly was going on with that "Queen."
Edwina nodded lightly and did not refuse. After all, she had abducted Queen herself, and she would have to let her go sooner or later.
The three of them then flew into a cave in the mountainside and soon reached the place where Dragon had previously stored her treasures.
Because Edwina had used the abilities of a Great Arcanist to create an ice-and-snow prison here, the level 16 Queen had no way to break free. Thus, she was still obediently staying in the treasure chamber.
When she saw the three of them enter, Queen was first stunned. Then she looked in surprise at the man in the lead. "Viscount Abner Brain?"
As a lady living in Backlund who loved reading newspapers, she naturally recognized the famous Hero Detective.
Hearing his name, Abner, who had already made some guesses, carefully examined this Queen from a neighboring country. He nodded as though he had expected it all along. "Mrs. Filina, so it was you."
Mrs. Filina was the fifth survivor of that experiment eleven years ago. She had previously followed Stewart, the Mysticism Mentor of the Church of Storms, on a vacation to Desi Bay, after which she had vanished without a trace.
Of course, after taking the Trident, Abner had learned that Stewart had merely used the vacation as an excuse. In truth, he had joined a secret mission related to the battle for the Sea Monster on Sonia Island.
After advancing to Sequence 3, Abner had even specifically used Insight to seek out Mrs. Filina's whereabouts, only to receive no information whatsoever.
He had thought that the Sefirah contamination on Philena or the
