Ambushing a King of Angels of the Fate domain was no easy task.
If the God of Luck and the Mechanical Emperor, two incarnations of Liu Bo, had not both died at Ouroboros's hands, leaving Fate indebted to Liu Bo, Abner could never have lured the Angel of Fate into his trap.
Of course, the secret ritual the God of Knowledge and Wisdom had planted on Anderson also played a major part. Through Anderson's connection to Ouroboros, it had continuously stolen the Angel's misfortune.
Under 0-08's arrangements, Ouroboros had descended beside Anderson moments ago, allowing Anderson to return all the misfortune he had stolen. That was why the Angel of Fate could not now escape the encirclement through luck.
The True Creator had helped as well. After descending into Ouroboros, he had disregarded that misfortune, leading the Angel of Fate to overlook it too—until now.
Even so, Ouroboros was not particularly worried. Only three Sequence 2s surrounded him. Why would a King of Angels fear enemies of that level?
But he soon realized his mistake. This Hidden World deep in the Spirit World was clearly ground his opponents had prepared in advance, reinforced by numerous rituals. Worse still were the three Beyonder items the angels held!
When the Divine Sword, the Magic Mirror, and the Holy Seal reached their designated positions, Ouroboros felt a new Authority descend upon him—one seemingly created for him alone. It bound him fast.
At the same time, a Sequence 1 Giant Serpent Beyonder Characteristic within him, long since fully digested, suddenly became incompatible, as though it were about to tear free.
The Angel of Fate tried everything, but nothing could stop it. The newly emerged Authority was of such a high order that he could not even activate Fate Cycle properly.
