The "Old Grandpa" planted in Trissy's mind was still only one of Abner's Eyes of Wisdom, no different in essence from the Life Reversal System he had placed aboard Cattleya's ship.
Unlike that system, however, this Eye of Wisdom operated at a sufficiently high level, even though it was no stronger.
That was because Abner had overlaid it with a Secret Art based on the Trojan Horse of Fate Beyonder Characteristic and Pallez's Worm of Time.
Combined with the "usage time" for the Error Card that he had "purchased" from Klein through the Collector's core ability at Alvin Palace, the "Old Grandpa" Abner was impersonating would exert a Convergence Effect on Amon nearly as strong as the real Pallez's.
Of course, Abner had no intention of displaying his "attraction." He would do everything he could to hide it, lest Amon grow suspicious.
Why had he chosen Trissy as his "host"? There were three main reasons:
First, Abner had never had much pity for Demonesses. Apart from the Food Apostle kept by Mr. Fool, their hands were almost all stained with blood. Even if Amon ended up "breaking" Trissy, Abner would not feel guilty.
Second, Trissy had advanced through the Sequences quickly, which suited someone carrying an "Old Grandpa." Amon was unlikely to suspect much before she was caught.
Third, as a Demoness seeking revenge against the Loen Royal Family, Trissy should be quite willing to draw a terrifying enemy like Amon toward the Augustus Family... And even if the idea did not occur to her, her "Old Grandpa" could suggest it.
Those were only the main reasons. There was no need to dwell on lesser considerations like "possessing a beautiful girl is easier on the eyes than possessing some rough-looking man"... Abner had learned that lesson from John, the sailor
