To varying degrees, they all helped ensure that the ritual eleven years ago could proceed," Aglaia continued. "I could sense the Mother Tree of Desire, the True Creator, and the Mother Goddess of Depravity—the one who also influenced Bethel and Roselle.
"Besides them, the Calamity Seal, which Roselle mentioned often, is highly suspicious... And I suspect some of the orthodox gods tacitly allowed it, too."
I remember Little Snake Will saying that, apart from "me," the biggest hand behind the scenes, and the evil gods you mentioned, Ialdabaoth, the Numinous Episcopate, the Hidden Sage, and Little Snake himself were also watching that experiment.
And by analyzing the secrets of Bianca, Maria, and the other three survivors, I did learn something about the ritual's nature... Its main purpose was to use God's Casket and objects bearing the aura of a Sefirah as mediums to communicate with the Sefirahs sealed in the Western Continent by the Gray Fog.
As for the "bridge" that enabled that communication... First, it might have been the Authority of the Door, which meant the ritual probably needed Mr. Door's power to be completed.
Second, it might have been the special souls originally held in God's Casket, the ones closely connected to the Sefirahs.
So one side effect of the ritual was that it could pinpoint those special souls, the Soul Stones formed from them, or the characteristics the God of Luck had stripped from them.
*I still haven't figured out why the True Creator was watching the ritual, but the Mother Tree of Desire clearly used it to find the Sea Monster carrying a characteristic connected to the Shadow World. She laid her plans, successfully used me to find
