Bayam, Fragrant Manor.
Hosenam, with her glossy black hair and gentle features, watched Abner step out of the void. She continued to toy with the beautifully patterned Golden Chalice in her hand and said evenly:
"It seems the person who came to exchange characteristics with me has obtained the Beyonder item I wanted?"
"That's right." Abner nodded with a smile, but did not elaborate. He merely took out the Fallen Flute and placed it before the Queen of Calamity before asking, "After obtaining the identity of Gluttony, you should have improved quite a bit through your exchanges and studies in the field of the mind, right?"
In fact, not long ago, the Supreme Council of the Psychology Alchemists had convened another meeting. The convener had still been that "president" who had died in the Elf settlement... though that had actually been Abner in disguise.
At the meeting, aside from the absent Pride, only Wrath and Envy had unknown identities. The rest were all "one of our own," so the newcomer, Miss Gluttony, had naturally joined without incident.
"Not bad..." Hearing Abner's concern, Hosenam's expression softened considerably, and a faint smile appeared on her face.
Then, she gently pushed the chalice in her hand forward. A gentle yet resilient wind carried it swiftly toward Abner, dropping it into his palm.
Abner lowered his head and swept his gaze over it, discovering a pool of azure liquid within the Golden Chalice. It was false, dreamlike, and not real enough.
No, even the chalice itself was not real. It was merely an illusion created through Imagination... Tsk, it seemed Hosenam was showing off her attainments in the field of the mind this way! That made sense. She had once possessed a Dragon avatar, so she naturally had a foundation in it... no wonder
