Hearing Klein's question, Abner smiled and nodded. "Yes. You can try to kill yourself while I'm watching, then overdraw on your Miracles to resurrect yourself.
"Don't worry. I'll go easy on you."
"So... in the Fate where Amon and I originally played that 'game,' the crucial part was successfully killing myself and using up one resurrection?" Realization dawned on Klein's face. He went on, "For you to take over that Fate, this key event has to happen too, doesn't it?
"Is this using the authority of the Wheel of Fortune?"
He knew Abner held the Wheel of Fortune's Unique.
"The Wheel of Fortune brings about change, then the authority of the Circle of Inevitability keeps the River of Fate on its original course, leaving Amon no opening to intrude.
"The latter is actually more important... Fate is inherently uncertain. There are many ways to change it, but only the Circle of Inevitability can keep it on its original course," Abner explained briefly.
"The Circle of Inevitability? What's that?" Klein asked, puzzled.
"Something you aren't qualified to know about in the real world yet..." Abner shook his head.
Klein fell silent for a while before asking, "Will using that Circle of Inevitability have serious side effects, or place a heavy burden on you?"
It sounded like something on the level of Sefirah Castle. He doubted Abner could use it without paying a price.
That's Klein for you... His first thought is whether this will burden me. He's so kind! Abner sighed inwardly.
At times, he even wondered whether he had transmigrated to this world because some higher Creator wanted to preserve Klein's kindness and give him a better ending than in the original story, one that wouldn't require him to abandon most of his humanity.
