Though they were merely ordinary people, they worked together seamlessly and covered one another. More importantly, even if they were killed by Beyonder Abilities, they could reform after turning into grains of sand, almost impossible to kill or destroy.
As a result, the party struggled onward across the wasteland at an ever-slower pace. Some had even been injured despite Gwen's Protection.
