"So Sequence 1 of the Hunter Pathway is called Conqueror. Sounds like it has a lot to do with war... And from the way the Emperor spoke, he practically treated that Sealed Artifact as a Potion. He must have known how to reduce a Beyonder item to its characteristic and purge its corruption.

"I wonder if he wrote those methods in his diary..."

While Klein marveled at learning another Sequence 1 Potion's name, his thoughts wandered.

At that moment, Abner saw that Mr. Fool's attention was on the diary pages he had submitted. Recalling what he had read in them, he found himself thinking:

Perhaps Roselle's guess was right. Either the Soren Family no longer had an Angel at the time, or its Angel was in terrible condition. That was why a Sealed Artifact that had come "alive" managed to scheme against them and bring down their dynasty.

When people think of the Hunter Pathway, the first thing that comes to mind is usually their knack for Provocation... But they overlook the fact that its high-sequence Beyonders are also top-tier Conspirers!

Without an Angel's protection, it isn't hard to understand how the Soren Family could fall prey to a Conspirer of nearly the highest caliber.

At the head of the Bronze Long Table, Klein collected himself, set aside his emotions, and resumed the calm, leisurely air of the Fool. Roselle's diary vanished from his hand.

Then he tapped the edge of the ancient table and looked to the side.

"Mr. Tower, you did well. You dealt with Beckland in less than a week. My blessed and I are both very pleased."

Beckland is dead? So soon? Alger, the Hanged Man, had been away from the islands for the past few days and had yet to receive the news. For a
