After nearly three days at sea, Abner arrived safely at Damir Port on Friday evening.

The voyage passed without incident. Apart from the captain of the Glory of All Cities, Alanson Edward, recognizing Abner and challenging him to a drinking contest, there was nothing else worth mentioning.

During those three days, Klein, far away in Backlund, bought a Hurricane Axe from Fanny at a gathering hosted by the elderly Eye of Wisdom, then traded it to the "Sun" of the City of Silver.

After receiving information on impoverished nobles from Miss Justice, he investigated Baron Pound in depth and learned that Pound was a descendant of Tudor. After careful consideration, Klein and Sharron blew up the entrance to the underground ruins on Williams Street.

Over those same three days, Xio failed to find Lanevus, but she unexpectedly discovered that someone else was looking for him. That person seemed to have deliberately left an opening and had already been noticed by a suspected member of the Aurora Order.

According to MI9's records, the suspected Aurora Order member stood two meters tall. He had only begun frequenting taverns near the Dock Borough in the past two or three months. Fierce, unreasonable, and exceptionally good at fighting, he had earned the nickname "Giant" from the tavern workers.

MI9 had no file on the person investigating Lanevus. His investigative and counter-surveillance skills were both excellent, though, and he seemed familiar with how official Beyonders operated. Xio had tried to follow him several times without success.

That was one reason she believed he had deliberately exposed himself to lure out a member of the Aurora Order.

Looking at the two portraits in her hands, Xio thought that, given the Giant's brutish nature, he would probably make his move tonight.
