Fors lay on her bedroom floor, her lashes fluttering as her eyes slowly opened. The full moon hung high outside the window, a disk brimming with crimson light. Its usual thin, hazy veil of red had become a deep, blood-colored glow.
I'm alive. I didn't lose control... That wasn't a dream. A mysterious, powerful Mr. Fool really saved me... Fors sat up and examined herself. Her hair had grown a little longer and thicker, but she found nothing else unusual.
She had just breathed a sigh of relief when, out of the corner of her eye, she spotted someone on the bed watching her!
Fors shrieked and tried to stand. But after lying in such an awkward position, her legs had gone numb. Her attempt went badly wrong, and she dropped to her knees with a thud. The pain in her kneecaps nearly brought tears to her eyes.
