Abner finished preparing his "equipment" and put on the Alchemical Life he had obtained from Closia—the Red Cloak. He was about to slip out of his manor for his meeting with Judy.
But as he reached the corridor, he spotted Karen's younger sister, the "Glutton" Lydia, furtively sprinkling something into a cup of coffee. She then carried it into the guest room he had arranged for Miss Gwen.
Abner frowned. He did not know what Lydia was planning, but Miss Gwen was staying under his roof. It would be bad if anything happened to her...
After a moment's thought, he had the Red Cloak carry him to the second-floor guest room and used Door Opening to enter.
He had been using Psychological Invisibility the whole time because he did not want anyone to notice him leaving.
Inside, Miss Gwen was bathing in the room's small bathroom. Lydia chatted halfheartedly with her captain through the bathroom door while quietly swapping out Miss Gwen's original coffee.
Abner stepped beside Lydia and used the Pure White Eye to analyze the coffee. He immediately detected a Sleeping Potion in it.
One look at the drugged coffee was enough to tell Abner what Lydia was up to...
