Abner held Lilith's Tears in one hand and the Historical Projection talisman given by the goddess in the other. He examined the newcomer with the Pure White Eye for several moments before raising an eyebrow and asking in return:
"A Parasite?"
"Heh, as expected of the person from the Emperor's prophecy—you saw through me at once... But you'd better put away those dangerous items. My main body isn't here, so they aren't much of a threat to me." The young man chuckled with an aged voice.
That's because you don't know its Desolation radius... Abner silently mocked, but only put away Lilith's Tears.
Then, after organizing his words, he asked again, "Are you the leader of the Men in Black? I have to thank you for saving Edwina... But why have you come to see me?"
"The leader of the Men in Black will always be the great Emperor Caesar. I merely serve as acting commander." At that, he glanced at Edwina on the bed and continued, "I was once Lord Edwards's adjutant, so naturally I could not stand by and watch Miss Edwina come to harm... Besides, she is also one of those in the prophecy."
Another prophecy? What exactly had the Emperor arranged in Tosk? And what was so special about Tosk that both the Calamity Seal and Roselle had placed their pieces here in succession...
Well, the latter might have been following in the former's footsteps, but that only proved that whatever they were plotting
