As the power of desolation erupted, the plants, monsters, stone, wood, and soil in the passage all began to wither.
The Shadow Saint, closest to the center of the desolation, took the full brunt of it!
After the blood markings on Abner's forehead opened and he turned into moonlight, the Shadow Saint's sword struck empty air. Desolate silence engulfed him. His sword and armor, both formed from spirituality, rapidly decayed. The decay spread to his body and soul; only the parts tainted by black sludge and crimson corruption barely resisted it.
Even so, the decay tore at his body and soul, inflicting wounds he could not recover from. He was almost instantly dead.
Meanwhile, Abner used the last moments of Lilith's blessing to enter Alvin's Quiz Maze in his moonlight form.
Because of the unusual circumstances of his entry, the Maze charged him a "special door-opening fee" of ten thousand Gold Pounds. Abner couldn't help thinking it was a swindler!
Of course, that was also because he only had level-four access to the Maze. He was not its true owner.
At the same time, Above the Gray Fog, Klein sat in the Fool's seat and watched the scene shown by the star representing the Tower. Even he was stunned by the power of desolation.
Before entering the passage, Abner had purified himself, which was why Klein could watch the "live broadcast" Above the Gray Fog.
That power was on the same level as the Profane Presbyter and that mountain of flesh... No wonder the Red Angel Evil Spirit changed his tone the moment he saw Mr. Tower take that pendant in hand!
But that power didn't seem to distinguish friend from foe... Was Mr. Tower all right?
*His Crimson Star was still there, but the broadcast's signal had grown unstable.
