In a workshop at the Sari family mansion in Backlund's West Borough, Abner was carefully carving runes into a bell, fixing in place a ritual to summon a Magic Wolf Spirit.

Four identical bells lay beside his hand.

After obtaining the separated Beyonder Characteristic, Abner had left the Harvest Church. Rather than Teleporting straight to Tosk, he had come to the Sari family's workshop to make a few items that could summon a Messenger.

At the workbench, Abner used Simulation to reproduce an Artisan's abilities. Drawing on his Spirituality, knowledge, and prepared design, with a steam-powered mechanical arm to assist him, he inscribed both sides of the bell with symbols corresponding to Numerology, magical signs, and ancient incantations.

Once he finished the final stroke, Abner, his mind somewhat drained, shut off the mechanical arm's power source and began pouring Spirituality into the bell.
