Unsure what had happened, he ran through several possibilities before connecting the young "Sun's" exploration of Afternoon Town with Mr. Tower's inexplicable appearance in the Forsaken Land of the Gods.
The night here is dangerous. If living creatures don't fall asleep, they vanish without a trace.
The darkness in the Forsaken Land of the Gods, including the City of Silver, is just as dangerous. If humans have no light to drive it away, they may vanish without a trace after five seconds.
The palace complex here might be a projection of the Giant King's Court, while Afternoon Town is the gate between reality and myth, the point connecting the City of Silver's region to the Giant King's Court...
Then there are the fallen ruins of a Floating City outside Afternoon Town, and the changes to the Floating City in this dream...
With so many coincidental similarities, the changes to this Floating City really might be connected to what Mr. Tower is doing!
Klein shook his head and turned his attention back to where this dream had begun: a stairwell with floor-to-ceiling windows.
The light of dusk and the sunlike radiance of the Floating City streamed through multicolored glass, making the black, relief-covered stairs spiraling downward look exceptionally magnificent.
Klein instinctively glanced to the side. Sure enough, Queen Mystic stood by the stairs leading up.
The chestnut-haired woman no longer wore the skirt slit up the front. Instead, she had on a white blouse trimmed with lace and ribbon flowers, a simple dark-blue jacket, beige trousers, and black leather boots. Klein suspected Queen Mystic owned an entire row of similar trousers and
