Everyone stared at Penny in astonishment. How badly did she want to suffer?
"Are you sure?"
Baimu raised an eyebrow. In his arms, Zorua licked its lips, its fluffy tail wagging like a puppy's.
It was just hungry, not scared by Mega Gengar's fighting prowess!
Zorua carefully pawed at him, begging for another treat.
Penny glanced at Zorua and nodded firmly. "I'm a member of Team Star too! Of course I have to follow the rules! And..."
She pressed a hand to her chest, calming the emotions surging within her.
The battle might have seemed pointless, but Penny knew she had to fight.
For one thing, as a member of Team Star and its Big Boss, she ought to retire according to the rules. For another, deep down, she didn't want Team Star to end.
Penny needed Baimu's strength to put an end to the part of herself that refused to let go.
The members of Team Star exchanged glances.
"Go, Penny! Show him the power of Team Star's Big Boss!"
Eri's unhesitating cheer broke the brief silence. The others came to their senses and began encouraging Penny too.
That was right.
Penny was a member of Team Star too.
Baimu had battled everyone from its five bosses to countless ordinary members. How could its Big Boss sit this out?
Seeing this, Clavell was in no hurry to reveal himself. He suavely swept his pompadour back with his palm and watched through narrowed eyes.
Nemona was both excited and eager. Penny didn't look like a particularly strong Trainer, but appearances could be deceiving!
If Penny really was strong, Nemona might have another opponent in the future.
Nemona had already begun imagining battles against all sorts of powerful Trainers.
