Two Dragon Darts struck Cinderace almost simultaneously in two different spots.
The distance was short, and the speed was too fast.
It had no room to react at all.
Boom!
A massive cloud of dust surged skyward alongside the explosive flames. A visible shockwave swept up the dust and crashed toward the stands, instantly triggering the protective barrier.
The enormous Battle Arena became shrouded in haze, leaving nothing visible.
Dragapult had created a spectacle comparable to a clash of moves all by itself. Its offensive power was clearly nothing to scoff at.
The announcer shouted, "Dragon Darts hit! At such close range, Cinderace had no space to dodge! Dragapult's full speed is terrifying!"
The stands erupted in uproar. Who could have imagined that in the blink of an eye, the battle would change so drastically that they could no longer understand it?
Double Team, Phantom Force, and Draco Meteor had all clearly been easily countered by Cinderace, so how had things suddenly become...
The answer was obvious.
Leon lowered the arm he had used to shield himself from the dust and smoke, thinking, Was it all probing?
Double Team had tested its reactions, Phantom Force had tested its offense, and Draco Meteor had tested its adaptability.
With those three moves, Baimu and Dragapult had gauged Cinderace's true capabilities. They had confirmed that Leon had held back, to varying degrees, in his earlier battle against Diantha and even further back in battles against Raihan and the others. That hidden strength had just been perfectly displayed.
For example, kicking out three Pyro Balls at once, or blasting apart Draco Meteor before it could descend.
Leon had once said that he never went easy on anyone, but clearly, holding back and going all out were two entirely different concepts.
"What a schemer."
