"I'm sorry. I'm so sorry."
At the police station, a young man kept bowing and apologizing. Beside him stood a little boy staring down at his shoes.
"This isn't the first time your brother's done something like this, is it? Honestly, he can't just go around causing trouble for people!"
Officer Jenny sounded thoroughly exasperated.
"It's my fault, but he only wanted to bring more challengers to my Gym. He didn't mean any harm."
The young man gave her an apologetic smile.
"You don't get to decide whether he meant any harm. Anyway, you should be asking that gentleman for forgiveness, not me."
Officer Jenny pointed to Baimu, who sat nearby, drinking tea and reading a newspaper without a care in the world.
The young man went over and apologized sincerely. "I'm sorry. I failed to keep my brother in line, and he caused you trouble. I'll take full responsibility and compensate you for any losses."
"I... I'm sorry."
The boy hung his head. He'd gotten away with baiting people so many times that he'd grown cocky. Then he'd run into Baimu and learned his lesson the hard way.
Of course, another reason he was behaving himself was that North Petalburg Gym might be shut down if Baimu refused to settle the matter.
After all, when a minor caused trouble, the adults in his family had to answer for it.
His brother had already braced himself for the Gym's closure, but the boy couldn't bear to see that happen.
"Are you really sorry?"
Baimu looked at the two brothers, one grown and one small.
The older brother was Junshu, the current leader of North Petalburg Gym. The younger was Shushu, only eight years old and a troublemaker through and through.
Good intentions didn't change the fact that he'd done something
