In Slateport City, Scent Sister welcomed her fourth Pokémon.

Vaporeon.

More precisely, this Vaporeon had been abandoned by her Trainer. At the time, Scent Sister had been treating a male Trainer's Pokémon for heatstroke when a female Trainer showed up and somehow assumed the two of them were having an affair.

She even insisted on battling her afterward.

Though Scent Sister explained what had really happened, the other woman refused to listen, leaving her no choice but to agree.

During the battle, Roserade won with ease.

Who would have thought that the female Trainer would release the defeated Vaporeon on the spot, then grab the male Trainer and run off? Her heartless appearance was simply terrifying.

How could Scent Sister stand for that? She immediately took in the bewildered little thing and treated the injuries Roserade had inflicted with Petal Dance.

"What the hell? Another early-Paul type of trash." Baimu cursed under his breath, furious just from watching the simulation.

Luckily, Scent Sister loved Pokémon as much as Ash did and took Vaporeon in. Otherwise, the world would have gained another Pokémon hostile and hateful toward humans.

After being disrupted like that, Scent Sister was in a rather poor mood as well. Fortunately, Fragrance Essence helped her relax.

Rather than linger in Slateport City, she set off for the city where the third Pokémon Gym was located.

The journey itself was no different.

She treated sick Pokémon and worked hard to improve her battle awareness.
