Just as Galarian Corsola had expected.
"Foresight!"
"Meow!"
Glameow's eyes shone bright blue, and a pale-blue wave of light spread rapidly outward.
Galarian Corsola had no idea what that light was, but instinct told it that if the light swept over it, it was finished. Finished in every way.
"Coo—"
It instinctively looked toward its Trainer, unable to understand why the next command still had not come.
Then it noticed something.
Baimu was smiling.
"Confuse Ray! Release it from every opening you have!"
The command finally came. At once, every hole in Galarian Corsola's body released an eerie violet glow.
One glance at that shifting, mottled light was enough to make anyone dizzy. It was terrifying!
By then, the pale-blue light had reached Galarian Corsola. The two lights collided, but neither resisted the other or exploded. Instead, they mingled into a far more distorted sight.
Glameow, trying to see through Galarian Corsola's true form, was instantly affected. Its eyes lost focus, and it panicked as though it had gone blind.
"Meow! Meow!"
"Glameow! Calm down!"
Wally started. It dawned on him that Baimu had been waiting for him to order Foresight.
Glameow had devoted all its attention to sensing its opponent, extending its awareness in every direction. It had no defense against the flashbang that was Confuse Ray, so the move that should have exposed Galarian Corsola had left Glameow confused instead.
Had I gone so long without battling that even my instincts had grown dull?
He clenched his fists.
The tenants watching looked astonished. Foresight could be countered like that?
It sounded absurd at first, but on reflection, it seemed workable. The timing was crucial, though. If the opponent caught on, it would not work so easily.
