Tetsuya and Baimu parted ways.
They agreed to have dinner at Tetsuya's home the next day and exchanged contact information.
"Talk about friendly. If you didn't know better, you'd think I was the one who lost."
He watched Tetsuya walk away with a sigh.
Tetsuya was gracious in victory and defeat. He might not have been exceptionally strong, but his bearing was extraordinary. Baimu hoped he would get a chance to battle Tetsuya's Boot-wearing Meowth someday.
Baimu had always been interested in Pokémon that were different.
Physically different, that was. Unusual personalities were another matter.
Take the one that was still pestering him—
The Rotom Drone.
"Rotom's amazing, right? And not a bother at all, Roto?"
It buzzed around Baimu like an irritating mosquito, occasionally drawing the attention of passersby.
Most of them, though, were watching Porygon frantically chase the Rotom Drone. They had never seen anything quite like Porygon.
"Pory! Pory!"
A furious Porygon was trying to drive the Rotom Drone away. Porygon already disliked Rotom, and the drone's repeated pestering had finally sparked a rare burst of anger in the normally mild-mannered Pokémon.
As soon as the inspection ended, Porygon had shaken its Poké Ball so insistently that Baimu had no choice but to let it out.
And now Baimu was caught in the middle of their chase.
Given the size difference, it looked like a little dog yapping after a bird... or perhaps a duck chasing a fly?
Ignoring the Rotom Drone's cries, Baimu caught bits of a conversation nearby.
"Mom! Look at that cute blocky duck! It's huge! And it moves!"
"It really is amazing. I wonder what sort of machinery is inside?"
"I want one!"
"Huh? You already have so many toys at home. We can't buy another!"
"But I want one! I want one!
