The two Pokémon eyed each other hungrily.

Both were catching their breath. One had just scrambled to dodge a barrage of lightning strikes, while the other had struggled against a powerful foe for ages before finally finding an opening and unleashing a sudden burst of strength.

Both were exhausted.

Wattson and Baimu shared an unspoken understanding and issued no commands, each taking a moment to breathe.

They did not stay idle, though. Wattson, in particular, seemed to slip into his serious Gym Leader persona as if a cutscene had begun. "Heh heh heh! Baimu, my boy! In all my years as a Gym Leader, you're one of the few trainers I'd call truly strong!"

"You're too kind."

Baimu answered quietly.

He felt a little sick.

Returning Mega Aggron to its Poké Ball might have eased the strain on his mind, but the constant tightening and release whenever it went in or out left him feeling like he had motion sickness from a 3D game.

Did other trainers who could use Mega Evolution feel this way? Probably not. He just needed more practice!

Fortunately, he could bear it. It was still within his limits.

And now that he had calmed down, the reality was obvious: Porygon was outclassed by Manectric in almost every respect.
